History

1963 Yüksel İnşaat A.Ş. was established in Ankara. In the beginning, Yüksel İnşaat specialized in projects for ports, quays and docks, constructing one-third of Turkey’s ports. In the later years, it played an important and effective role in the development of Turkey's infrastructure by being involved in numerous transportation, energy, treatment and industrial facilities.

1983 Yüksel İnşaat A.Ş. started to provide international contractor services.

1997 Yüksel İnşaat, combined all of its subsidiaries in  diverse areas such as energy, tourism, finance, information technology, security, the defense industry, manufacturing and investment under the umbrella of Yüksel Holding.

1999 Yüksel İnşaat’s commitment on quality and health & safety was documented with the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance System and the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certificates.

2006 Yüksel İnşaat’s commitment on environmental issues was documented with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certificate.

2006 As being one of the leading companies in the sector Yüksel has signed the Global Compact.

2007 Yüksel İnşaat ranked in the "World's Largest 225 International Contracting Companies" list by Engineering News Record (ENR) magazine. Since then, Yüksel has been ranking between 85th to 120th place.

2010 Yüksel İnşaat issued Eurobond with value of 200 million USD for the first time.

2010 The Gebze-Izmir Motorway Project was awarded to the group of six companies with Yüksel having a 1/6 share both as an investor and an EPC contractor in the group. The USD 6.8 billion value Project is currently the largest infrastructure project of Turkey to date.

Yüksel continues to carry out major projects both in Turkey and abroad in countries such as Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania, Dubai, Qatar, Jordan, Libya and Northern Iraq, and rightly enjoys looking ahead with confidenc.
