Çobanlı Regulator and HEPP Project, one of the investments of Yüksel Holding, was constructed by Hidro-D Hidroelektrik Enerji Üretim A.Ş. The Project was the second energy project of Yüksel to operate after Köprübaşı Dam and HEPP Project. Project is located in the Yeşilırmak River Basin, on the Çobanlı Creek, which is one of the tributaries of the Kelkit River. The Project has a distance of 15 km to Gölova, 17 km to Refahiye, 85 km to Erzincan and 190 km to Sivas. The Project includes a regulator, settlement basin, headrace tunnel and channel, penstock, power house and hydroelectrical power plant. Çobanlı Regualtor and HEPP was designed as a river type hydroelectrical power plant. The total installed capacity of the Project is 20,124 MW while the total energy production is 48,204 GWh. 98% of the Project has been completed so far. At the beginning of 2013, the Project started operation and providing electricity for the national network.
