This project was realized by an International Consortium which consists of Yüksel İnşaat A.Ş., Brochier Gmb&abs;Co., Preussag Noell and AEG. Yüksel, on the other hand, undertook the construction of all functional and non-functional structures of the facility which is located on 182 hectares of land area. Yüksel scope of work also includes the construction of site infrastructural works, site roads, and environmental arrangements. The treatment plant is designed to treat the Domestic effluent and Industrial effluent with 765,000 m3 per day capacity with fully functional mechanical -biological activated sludge process. 3,000,000 m3 of excavation, 250,000 m3 of concrete and 20,000 tons of steel works were carried out within the scope of works. The facility co-generates its energy from its biogases reactor as a result of the mud assimilation process at an average of 70% of its total installed power (10 MW). The assimilated mud created as a by-product is turned into cakes and used to enrich the soil in agricultural areas.
