This project was tendered for the purpose of meeting the need of natural gas in residential and industrial regions on the Anatolian shore of Istanbul. It was finished in fast-track manner (in 7 months from the contract date) using massive manpower and equipment. The project includes installation of 35 kilometers of 600 mm steel natural gas pipe, 26 valve housings and 24 take-off valves. This job ensured that the existing 200,000 natural gas subscribers in the neighborhoods south of E5 on Istanbul’s Anatolia side were able to receive gas more regularly and reliably and it also provided the capacity for 300,000 new natural gas customers in the neighborhoods north of E5.
