Ivedik Drinking Water Treatment Plant, Improvement of Unit 1 & Unit 2 and Construction of Unit 3

The biggest water treatment plant of Turkey, the “İvedik Water Treatment Plant” was designed to treat surface water coming from Çamlıdere and Kurtboğazı Dams with modern technology facilities and supply water for drinking, usage and industrial purposes to Ankara until year 2020. The project was planned to be constructed in four stages (Units I., II., III., & IV.) where each of the stage contained units with capacity of 564 000 m3/day. Units I. and II. were completed and put in operation in 1984 and 1992 respectively.

The client of the project, ASKİ, has decided to rehabilitate the first two units and construct the third unit (Unit III.). The rehabilitation of Units I. & II. and the construction of Unit III. with the capacity of 564 000 m3/day are included in the scope of the contract Yüksel signed.
