The Project consists of the construction of stormwater drainage network at the quarters of East & West Naseem and Muazliah as well as the squares of Al Moroug, Al Masiaf and Al Nakeel. The project consists of 40 km length box culvert and 126 km length pipeline with all related civil and mechanical works. The main components of the project are 2,029,170 m3 excavation and backfilling works, 223,785 m3 concrete for box culvert, 18,820 m3 concrete for encasement of pipes, 126,311 m GRP pipe (diameter 300 mm – 1,200 mm), 1,232 nos manholes and 3,350 nos catch basins, 413,249 m2 re-asphalting works, 226,000 m length traffic diversion and relocation of existing utilities.
