Borçka Dam and HEPP was designed and built on the Çoruh River, 30 km from the Artvin City in the Black Sea Region. Borçka Dam is a central clay cored fill and has a crest length of 728 m, it enjoys a 7.785.000 m³ backfill volume, a 300 MW installed capacity and the eventual goal is to generate 1.039 GWh of power annually.
