The section covered within the scope of the contract begins approximately 270 meters from the Salwa Highway (Al Aşiri) D-Ring and ends approximately 700 meters from the Industrial Intersection and has total lenght of 6.8 km. The contract involves the renovation of the existing road in a manner that ensures free flow of traffic in both directions on four lanes. Uninterrupted local traffic is provided via service roads. The scope of work includes but not limited to the following items: construction of 4 intersections with signalization infrastructure along the main highway (3 underpasses), asphalt covering, rainwater drainage system, construction of TSE network (Traffic Signal Enhancement) , relocation and development of the existing public service networks, relocation of the sewer network, construction of a 2200-meter micro-tunnel, street lighting, traffic signs, road marking, traffic lights and landscaping.
